If you aren't an early riser and they want your RV delivered by 7:00 AM to be worked where are good places to stay in Forest City? I'd rather stay in the RV at night but since we usually don't get up till 9-9:30, I can't imagine getting up by 5:00 AM for 3 or 4 mornings. That is if they can do as they say over the phone and get this $200K pile of crap repaired in that time. The selling dealer worked on it twice before closing their doors, another dealer reluctantly (since it wasn't purchased there) worked on it once and only fixed 3 of the 12 items listed, a 3rd dealer ( who replaced the selling dealer) said there wasn"t much sense him trying since two others couldn't fix things, and a Freightliner shop worked on it twice trying to eliminate engine fumes in the bedroom-so it looks like my only hope is a 700 mile trip to the factory. I had thought maybe Winnebago would help with travel expenses since several dealers couldn't fix the problems, and with fuel prices like they are but that was like hoping to find an oil well in my back yard. Any help in making this trip will be greatly appreciated.

The most convenient is the "Lodge" which is located just across the street from the service center. I've not stayed there, but have heard it is a nice facility reasonably priced. I'm not real sure, but they may give a discount if your unit is in for repair, probably others more familiar will give you more information.

The Lodge is very good and the restruarant is excellant. This is the former home and stables of Mr. Hansens daughter and son in law. It is close to the service center.

In addition to The Lodge (888-771-3535), there's a Super 8 Motel (641-585-1300) about a mile to the south

Thanks everyone. After using an RV for the last 17 years its going to be real hard to sleep in someone elses bed and using their linen. Besides, I'm sure I'm going to be shocked at the prices for motels compared to campgrounds (or even free at the factory). Thanks again for all the help, especially the phone numbers. Hope you're all having a good holiday.
