I need to adjust the auto leveling function on my 07 Itasca Ellipse. The manual says it's mounted inside the control Box which is mounted to the power unit/valve assembly. Problem is I haven't been able to find any of that yet.

I searched the forum and it sounds like they could be a lot of different places but I thought I'd check in to see if anyone knows specifically on the Ellipse before I call Winne on Monday.

Thanks much...

Rick

I would expect that HWH pump/reservoir/etc. are under your entry steps (you should find that the top two steps hinge up when you undo one nut under the step lip) and the control unit will be under the front hood in front of the step area. You should see a large circuit board with a clear plastic cover over it.

Don't know it will help you but on my Journey the HWH control unit is between the steps and the front bumper. It is a box about 8X8X3 (inches) and has a plastic face plate. It is attached to metal in front of and close to the pump & valves.
The leveling adjustments are in the box at the bottom right - at least on mine they are. I just had to replace mine because of a bad board. On mine the box is held in place by four screws and they can be loosened and side to side adjustment made by moving the box a little.

Hi RickO,
I do not know your coach. However, a call to Winnie might be in order to determine where they put the HWH components. When you do find it, you'll wonder how you missed it. All the HWH components should be together. Pump, solenoids, reservoir and control board all next to each other.

Coming out of the case the control board is mounted to will be double threaded adjustment screws (2). Read the instructions carefully. One screw is for front to rear and the other is for left and right. The adjustments are very, very sensitive. Think in terms of 1/16 turn at a time. The instructions should tell you what lights to look for on the control board so you know what turning needs to be done. Get the coach dead level first. I use a carpenter's level on a specific section of the coach floor. Once the coach is level, then make the adjustments watching the lights on the control board.

Thanks much guys. I need to crawl back under there because I did locate the 8x8 box with the clear plastic cover but dismissed it because I didn't seen any valves or pump nearby... nor did I see any adjustment screws but, hey, I'm old now and there's a lot of things I don't see anymore.

I'll take a look this afternoon... between football games... and if I still can't see it I'll give Winnie a call in the morning.

I do have the instructions and think I understand them but, we'll see I guess.

Thanks again. I will follow up.

Rick On mine the HWH control box has several (maybe 6 or 7) plug in type connections on the box - mostly on the back where you cannot see them the way it is installed on my unit. The leveling control adjustments on mine are on the lower right hand corner when looking at the plastic cover. They are on the metal side not on the plastic cover. There is a "hex head type bolt" (maybe 9/16 or 5/8's) adjustment and a very small screw driver slot for the other adjustment. I don't remember which is for fore and aft or side to side. But I think the hex head was fore and aft and the slot was a side to side adjustment. That was on the box I removed and the new box has, I think, different adjustment connections but I have not had to opportunity to really check it out.
