Went to the Camping World here in Las Vegas yesterday. There was a 2012 Tour out front. It was open so DW & I went in and looked around. It was the first new rig that peaked her interest. She said let's go to the local Winnie dealer and look at some rigs. Pinching myself I drove to Findley's. There was an '09 Vectra there on "Manager's Special". They were asking 190k something with 11k miles. Still had basement air, no def, Cummins 425 etc. Only thing the panel over the air conditioning access was not secured as if there was recent activity there AND the fins had multiple dents ???? Walked around and the rear radiator had bent fins also. Only thing I can figure is that they were both power washed with too high a pressure. Naturally I couldn't get a straight answer regarding my concerns. Sooooo we walked away. Too close for comfort.

Tom, you did the right thing. The fins can be repaired but a broke trust cannot.

So you rejected a coach for bent fins? You should have knocked th price down another 10 grand and bought a fin straightner for 5 bucks to fix the problem. Its a USED coach. DONT expect perfection.

Tom, if it doesn't feel right from the getgo, it probably isn't. You can overlook some cosmetic issues, but not mechanical issues. A friend of mine wanted to go to CW to look at mohos the other day. We looked at a 2012 Meridian 36M(their new one). It was fine, I didn't realize it was a 36, it looked bigger to me inside. I found out where they scrimped. The bath was all in one room; the kicker was that the sink was on the right, toilet next to it at an angle, the shower was all on the left, with the door hinged on the left. When you open the door and you are soaking wet, you have to swing it 90 deg., step out, step to the left of the toilet in order to close the door to step back in front of it so you have room to dry off. I guess something had to give for 36-37 ft.

After 4 motorhomes, salesmen get the feedback from my wife about the practicality, not the bells and whistles they always tote. Hope you are enjoying day 147of your full timing experience.

Be extremely wary when going into that lot, Maverick. They tried to pull the wool over my eyes a few years ago.
Where are you staying in Vegas?
