Which antenna does what?

Hi, all.

We have a new to us 2000 Itaska Suncruiser 32V. On the top are two "adjustable" black rubber-like, approx. 12" long whip-type antennae: one above the driver and one above the entry door. I say "adjustable" in quotes because no matter how tight I twist tight either one, it loosens and flops down in a short amount of time. I don't know what they are for or what they are connected to. Does anyone have any sage knowledge about these irritating little things? Thanks.

The front antenna is connected to the radio in your drivers area, the other antenna is connected to the radio that's in the house area of your coach. The screws are vibrating loose, get some locktite and put it on the threads of the screw and then tighten.

Simply put each radio has it's own antenna. The idea that these are "adjustable" is new to me. I have 3 radios and 3 rubber antennas on the roof...all of them are is the upright position all the time. The antenna should not flop down or work it's own self loose to flop down...if this is a constant issue then the mount and or antenna is failing and you should look into replacement of the antenna.

These antennas have a hex-head cap screw to hold the antenna in the position you desire. Mine were covered with sealant by the factory. Clean away enough to access the hex-head cap screw, just below the rubber part. My MH came with 3 rubber radio, and and 1 tunable CB, antenna.
