Which trans model?

Hi folks,
I've come to realize that I've got no idea what transmission lives under my motorhome, nor do I know how to find out. So, I thought I'd ask the collective here for their input.
I've got a 1997 Adventurer 37rw on the F53 chassis, with the 460 engine.
I've run the VIN but it offers no info on the transmission. Anybody?

Thanks, Peter

Peter, It is altogether likely that you are the proud owner of an "E4OD" Electronic, 4 Speed Over Drive Transmission.

WHen you get a chance call the ford heavy truck repair place

When you get a chance call the authorized Local Ford Heavy Truck repair and give them the vin and ask for any updates or recalls. I was suprised to see they recommended a new oil dipstick as the old one did not calculate the appropriate amount of oil for my 99 v10
