Whirlpool Gold Velos Microwave is shot!!!

The DW was cooking in the microwave when it just quit. There is power to the outlet but have no power to the microwave. Our extended warranty will replace it but will only give us $669.00 towards a new microwave. The whirlpool velos has been discontinued but did find it on line at Best Buy for $996.00. Of course when we went to Best Buy they can't get it.
My question is what microwave does Winnebago use in the new Ellipse? We have a 2012 Ellipse 42QD. Thanks for any responses.

These things are not RV specific. Take a look at this: Shop Over-the-Range Microwaves at Lowes.com[]=1z0ynwy&N[]=1z10lgo.

I like this one: Shop Whirlpool 30-in 1.9-cu ft Over-the-Range Convection Microwave with Sensor Cooking Controls (Stainless Steel) at Lowes.com

I would not hesitate to replace my Sharp with it.

I agree, but sometimes you have to hunt to find a replacement the same dimensions as the old one. What is hard to find(if you have that model) is one that has a vented hood with fan exhaust vent exactly where the old one vented through the wall.

Have you located the problem yet? Microwaves have an automotive-type glass fuse(120VAC) inside, 3A I think. If the magnetron tube is bad the fan and light should still operate.

The over the range style are all the same width I believe. As far as the venting? That could be a problem, though I thought their was a standard here too so brands could be switched. Only my thought. No fact here.
