White smoke

I have a 2005 Meridian 34H, cat 350 with 35,000 miles. It is normally parked in my driveway with the back drivers side down slightly. After sitting for a few weeks, it starts right up, runs smoothly, doesn't smoke etc. It warms up some while I do my last minute checks. I drive up my steep drive and turn onto the level road. It then starts belching white smoke for two or three minutes, has little power but it all clears up in about a half mile. I noticed in the last rainstorm that water from the roof gutter was cascading over the air intake on the top corner of the Motorhome. Could this smoke be caused by water in the air filter assembly or piping?

White smoke usually means the diesel isn't burning completely in the cylinders. The first thing to do is to check your fuel filters

Might or might not be related to the smoke but if there is a chance that significant water might have gotten into your intake, you need to inspect your air filter. If the element gets soaked, at worst it can come apart & pieces of it cause damage downstream. Or it can develop open channels when the air can pass through without getting filtered. 10k miles later you have a dusted engine & need a 20k rebuild.

Above are worst case but serious enough that you should rule them out.
