around the edges of my two piece windshield, i have a couple of areas where there are white spots. there is nothing on the inside or outside. at first i thought it was the windshield coming off of the butyl sealer, but i noticed it in a spot where there is not supposed to be sealer.
are the two layers of glass seperating from the safety sealer between them and if so, is there a cure ?

rick_od;

I wish I knew for sure. I suspect it is a separation of the 2 layers of glass. Unfortunately as luck would have it I keep having to replace windshields do to stones hitting them. Mine have not been in long enough to have problems.

Most good automotive glass shops will have some one stop by and look at it. They are more likely to know exactly what you are looking at.

The glass is delaminating. I've had both sides of my Journey windsheild replaced because of that. About a $1000 a pop.

I was afraid it was going to be window delamination. I figure replacement is the ultimate fix but does anybody know if a window shop can do anything to slow it down and give me a few more years before replacement ?
