Folks,
I have the pleated window shades, and I notice that my television can easily be seen from outside with the shades down. I would like to watch some things that shouldn't be seen by others. Suggestions? Velcro or some stick pins to hold heavier curtains?

Are the shades you have the pleated Day/Night shades? With the night shade down mine are completely blacked out. With a new rig you should have better light control than that.

When my "night shades" are down, you can tell if a light's on, but that's about it.

In my new coach, the day/night shades for all the side windows are great. I can't say the same thing for the windshield shade. Doesn't block the morning light too much at all.
Anyone have any suggestions on improvement for the front windshield shades??

Yes, I have the light brown pleated "Day/Night" shades. I went outside the coach with one overhead light on, and a Looney Tunes DVD playing. I could clearly see Bugs Bunny, and what he was doing. I have the double pane windows, and it is hard to see anything else with any detail, but the TV stands out.

Chuck, each window has a 'day' and a 'night' shade. Be sure that both shades are pulled down. When all shades are down and the front windows are covered with thermal insulation our RV is like a cave-can't see in and can't see out.

Chuck, I have been waiting for the doh! reaction from you for a few days now. Isn't it great when there is a really cheap fix for a problem. We have had several Doh moments with the rv's we have had. Now get out there and enjoy bugs or willey coyote or whatever it is you enjoy!!
