Windshield wipers would not stop

I have a 2007 Itasca Suncruiser on a Workhorse W24 Chassis. I had it in the shop for the drivers side wiper hitting the windshield at highway speed. The tech told me it was out of adjustment.
Today we were driving across Tennessee in and out of the rain. This afternoon I used the swipe feature and the wipers continued to sweep the windshield. I turned them off and on and nothing I did would stop them. Finally they stopped on their own. This happened a couple of more times. We finally stopped at a rest stop and after shutting down the coach, when we started back out on the highway the problem went away.
I checked the connections and felt the motor at the rest stop to see if there was anything loose or if the motor was hot. Nope, all was ok.
Any thoughts. We are heading into Oklahoma Nd more rain tomorrow.
Thanks.
Tom

Had the same problem on our first coach. The wipers had a mind of their own and would stop, start, and not return to the home position at will. The motor was replaced and everything checked over several times. A very sharp young tech finally went to the trouble of checking the pins in the connection under the hood and found one of them was not seated properly. He fixed it in a flash.

Good luck,
Dave

Thank you Dave. I will have them checked to see if that is the problem. I really appreciate your quick response.
