Had the same problem on our first coach. The wipers had a mind of their own and would stop, start, and not return to the home position at will. The motor was replaced and everything checked over several times. A very sharp young tech finally went to the trouble of checking the pins in the connection under the hood and found one of them was not seated properly. He fixed it in a flash.
Good luck,
Dave
