I have a Winegard power antenna on a 2011 Itasca Elipse that when in the travel position bounces up and down when it is windy. I got up on the top of the coach and could see that nothing was holding holding it down to the roof, it would move up 6" without any resistance at all. Is this normal for this model of antenna? Any advice would be welcome thanks.

My Winegard TV antenna was making "loose" noises until I checked to make sure I had the interior handle turned as far as it would go ... without breaking it, of course ... just to be sure the gear wheel was all the way retracted. HTH.

Thanks for the reply. My antenna is a powered unit that has no crank or any other method of manually lowering it that I can find.

When I crank my antenna down I hear a thump on the roof as the rubber feet hit the roof. I folds down towards the rear of the coach and is inline with the mount in front for a good wind protection.

A 2011 sounds like a dealer fix to me.

Good idea. I think a call to Winegard would get an answer to the question also.
