I want to equalize the house batteries & the manual says to disconnect all equipment that could be damaged by voltage above 16 VDC.I believe that using the battery disconnect switch that would do the trick, BUT, I find that this is no longer operating. Any suggestions & does anyone know where this cutoff solenoid/relay is located?

What make is your inverter/charger - Dimensions 2000? I guess I'll have to look at my manual again but I seem to recall that it equalizes automatically every X charges (X=5 I think?). Disconnecting several items would be a real pain.

Big Bear

I can't help you with the location on your rig, but my disconnect relay didn't work either.
I found that one of the wires from the disconnect switch was crimped into the same barrel as a cable from the battery without being stripped first. The cable was connected to one of the terminals on the relay.

Of course there are a number of things that can cause the relay to not work and your problem could be something else.

My relay has worked in the past as I used it to disconnect batteries when in storage.

It is a Heart Interface Freedom Combi inverter charger, model 20 with a remote control panel. Manual advises to disconnect all equipment b4 equalize which the disconnect solenoid should do, if it was working.
