Last evening we had 20 folks in the Winnebago Chat room. According to Petro, that is a record for the past two years at least. We had two folks from Winnebago's Service Administration area, Bryan Funke and Tom DeWaard, both fielding interesting questions and giving helpful advice to participants.

Thanks to all who participate in this room and make it a great place to visit and converse on Tuesday evenings.

Every Tuesday at 9:00 PM Eastern time. Look at the top of this forum, click 'GO', click on 'Chat Rooms,' then click 'Winnebago Chat.' That will log you into the chat room.

See you next Tuesday evening.

Gary;
Last night I could not help but remember that this chat room was all but dead a year ago. I got lonesome as some nights I was all by myself. I asked Bob Gregory what we could do to revive the chat. He asked if you & I would co-host it and we accepted. I believe the reminders have helped also as we all tend to forget.

I also would like to thank Tom for his participation in the past few weeks. It was great to have Bryan with us again. When Bob hosted it Bryan was on with us on several occasions and we had good attendance on the chat. After Bob traded his Winne for the brand he has now, his attention was directed to all the problems he was having and the chat room suffered.

I too would like to thank all the participants for their participation and respect to Tom & Bryan with their questions. It was great to have DriVer with us also last night. I have a lot of respect for his knowledge and input as well. It is a win win win situation for Winnebago, Winnebago owners, & IRV2 when we can come together in the way we have to help improve out RV Trip through life and have all the fun we can.

Thanks to everyone who helps make this a great chat room

Don

I'll have to pop into chat some Tuesday night. Is there a chat transcript available for those of us who missed it to read?

Doula;

Not that I am aware of. I don't believe there is any record kept of the chat rooms. I hope a Moderator will jump in here to correct me if I am wrong. Many times I wish there were, as due to my job requirements I can't log on. I hate it when I have to miss a chat. It is the highlight of my week. Please join us when you can.

Can't remember them all but there were many comments and questions about the '08 Journey. Several folks shared their concerns that the shorter DP's (32 and 34's) have been dropped.

There was a lot of discussion about the recent WIT GNR in Forest City. There were 1,400 rigs there this year. Also much discussion about the '08 GNR which will celebrate Winnebago's 50th Anniversary. I believe Bryan indicated they can accomodate up to 1,600 rigs on the rally grounds.

Some service questions....how to fix a leaking shower drain, sticking step cover.

It was really great, very informative for me as a new guy. It was especially nice to have Tom there again and Bryan to come in too. Looking forward to meeting a lot of great people in FC next year at the GNR. Mike

I was in fact very active in the Winnebago Forum as a Winnebago Owner, but reluctantly have found there's only so many hours in the day and as Don has pointed out,I've been focusing most of my efforts on getting the issues with my coach ironed out, as well as working full time as the co-owner of iRV2.
Good thing I retired from the real estate business after twenty five years!!

There are no provisions for the members to read the chat transcript.

We were not aware that Bryan and Tom were planning to visit chat last night and we thank them for their participation.

Thank you all for your continued support.

I went over to eve communities web site and it looks like there might be some sort of Chat Transcript logging available. It would be really good to be able to read the transcripts.

Jim

On edit, it looks like there is something under administrative permissions:

Chat

Administrative Permissions
Chat Module Admin
Access Chat Control Panel
Access Chat Reports and Transcripts
Manage Chat Master Settings

Jim, your findings in the Groupee/Eve community are correct, as reading chat transcripts is an administrative option only.
There are no plans to change this.

Thank you for your continued support of iRV2.
