Winnebago Destination/Itasca Latitude water in storage bay
Hi,
I have noticed a small amount of water on the floor of the rear driver side storage bay in my Itasca Latitude 37g.
I was able to dry it up with paper towels on Saturday, but when I went back to the coach there was some water again.
I will call Winnebago tomorrow for advice.
The bay in question is next to the water bay (this bay is dry) and slide arm is over it. This part of the coach is under a rv port. The water is clear and there is no smell or signs of rust.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks,

Do you have the RV hooked up to city water? Is the water pump on? If you're under a covered roof, I'd think the water isn't from rain but your plumbing system.

Hi Bob,
The coach is in its stoarge bay and not hooked up and pump is not on. I definitely have a feeling its coming from the plumbing. I removed about a cup of water.

Hi Bob,
I spoke to Winnebago, they reckon its a condensation issue. They said to monitor it and try to pin down where its coming from.

Unless you're storing something wet in that compartment, I don't see how a cup of water could evaporate and then condense in that space. I usually trace leaks in plumbing by wrapping toilet paper around a suspicious pipe. You might try taping a piece of tissue to any cracks or seams in the compartment top or sides where you think water is entering. Can you spot any water lines that run above the compartment?

Hi Bob,
I not see any water lines above the compartment.
Thats a good call about taping tissue to the seams of the storage. I will try that.

UD-
According to the plumbing diagrams (link here), the hot- and cold-water piping to the galley sink, the shower, and the refrigerator icemaker line run above the compartment that's immediately in front of the wet bay. They also show the black tank flush line running through that area.

A black tank flusher has a vacuum breaker that extends up above the line into a cabinet or closet. If it fails, it most certainly could cause water to leak into whatever is below it. The fact that the pump and city water are both off does question, do you think the water could have been there since you last used the tank flusher or had the system pressurized?

Thanks Mark and Bob,
After I dried the bay on Saturday I did turn on the water pump to wash my hands. There was water their again yeaterday. I wont be back to the coach for a week due to work though.
Sounds like one of those lines are leaking.

I dried at least a pint of water today. There was a very small amount of water in the next door water.
I ran the toilet and faucets, no sign any water in the water bay.

I went back to the coach today and there was a small amount of water under the water line drain. A small amount had got in to the stoarge bay.
I dried up all the water and places a container under the line.
Photo shows the line. Fingers crossed this is the issue.

Went back today and both bays were dry.
Tightening up the fittings must of worked.
Thanks all for the help,
