We just took the factory tour at Forest City. Very interesting and very efficient. They are now doing about 100 per week down from a high of 200 a week. The do not produce any coaches with Workhorse anymore. The are averaging about 13 smaller (Mercedes and Ford) units around 26 ft or less and 7 per day of traditional coaches. They appear to have gone all in on the smaller fuel efficient units. I saw an ad that said 17 mpg, but hard to believe. They have literally hundreds of chassis sitting on the property. For Class A gas and diesel, they use one chassis (for each of course) and lengthen them by welding in an extension and using a longer drive shaft. Our tour guide was a retired engineer and very knowledgeable. Ford was used for Class A Gas and Freightliner was for DP's.

I hope you had a cooler day than we did on Tues the 10th. Our car said 102 degrees on the trip back to the campground. Thankfully it has cooled, but rainy until this afternoon. Nice tour, but never get up close enough to see how things are really put together.

Actually, we have been having very cold weather. My heat pump even switched over to propane and that happens around 40 or so. We had a noon high around 40. We went North to MN and ND after the tour. It was very nice the day we were there.
