Winnebago - Itasca kitchen vent shade

The retractable ceiling vent shade in the kitchen of my 2004 Meridian does not want to retract all the way anymore. It is a Carefree product, Carefree told Camping world they do not make them anymore. Winnebago does not have any in stock.
Does anyone have any ideas on where to find a new one? Thanks!

Try soaking the ends with WD 40. My screen door screen was doing the same thing on the Voyage that I had. It worked!

I had the same retract problems with both of my vent covers.

I took the covers down, took them apart and wound more tension on the spring. The same procedure as winding more tension on an awning.

Vent Shade retracting problem fixed

I could not wind the shade any more. I ended up putting a couple of drops of my bicycle chain lube on each shaft end. THIS WORKED GREAT!

Camco Vent Shade

Thanks for the information. I was not aware of this shade, it does appear to be the correct size. I see it mounts differently than mine and doesn't appear to block as much light as mine. I'm glad I got the original working as its a more trim fit.
