I own a 2005 journey 39f. How do you pull the headlight assembly out of the coach? I'm not able to get to the low beam lights. I have read the other forms but nobody's still explains how to pull a headlight out. Has anybody done this or do I need to call Winnebago? Thank you for your help.

I have an '04 Meridian - I think the headlights in your '05 Journey are the same. You can replace the bulbs in the headlamps simply by twisting the holder in the back of the lamp assembly. (Your headlamps are from a Pontiac, and the bulbs are removed the same as most automobiles) The only difference is, that in your Journey, they are a bit more difficult to access.

Thanks for the response so fast. I understand you can replace the bulbs by twisting on the back however I cannot get to be low beams I can get to the high beams I cannot get to the blinker lights. That is why I'm trying to figure out how the headlight is removed to access all bulbs. If anyone has any information on this I would greatly appreciate it.

Robert, this may not help much, but there is a drawing at:http://www.winnebagoind.com/diagram/...ire_148958.pdf (Page 3) that shows the installation.

Trust me when I say removing the assembly isn't easy (I've done it) but it is doable. Everything is done laying under the coach - with the genset door open, you can access the headlight adjustment cable, and see the attacment hardware.

Once during a trip, I had the misfortune to hit a turkey, dislodging the entire assembly. I removed the headlamp assembly in order to "glue" the mounting hardware back into place, and then reinstall the headlamp assembly.

RedT thanks for the post. I see that this is not going to be easy. This diagram did give me a better idea and I will be pulling them out. Have a great day and thanks to everyone for the help.

Robert
