I have had my automatic switchover work when running the heat overnight without electric hookup. It worked well but it lets the pressure get pretty low before it switches. Enough that the heater burner started popping a little bit. I was glad to not have to go switch it outside in the cold night though.

My ARPrv device just arrived, once it warms up a bit I'll get it installed and will feel better about leaving the dogs in the trailer now.

Empty weight of a 20# propane tank is right around 17#.
So full from a re-fill place should be 37#.

A fresh exchange tank will only be about 32#. They short fill them to account for significant changes in temperature and altitude in transit.

They used to short fill them to 17 lbs of propane for temperature and altitude.

They now short fill them to 15 lbs of propane to be competitive. They call it a marketing decision.

Its like the pound of coffee not weighing a pound anymore.

Where I take my cylinders to have them filled I can usually talk them into at least 18#.

Some places have a fixed rate by fill, other places like Tractor Supply have great prices and only charge for what they put in, so no harm topping off a tank before a trip.

Przero, welcome also.

Shortly we are headed out to Blanco State Park. This will be the first time that we will get to try out our inflatable Sea Eagle 9.

This is what I have looking for. I will order one for me on Monday. [emoji16]

Congratulations John. We are really excited about trying it out. A report with photos will be coming shortly.

I notice you are practically a neighbor.

Since the boat has a motor you will have to register it and get the required TX number. I made a plate for each side from 1/10" plywood and ordered the 3" vinyl numbers online. I'll hang it on the rope on the side of the boat.

When you order the SE9 be sure to tell them that you need a fully completed Manufacturer's Statement of Origin because Texas will accept nothing less during the registration process. Ask me how I know.

I have often wished I could find a retrofit kit for an oven lighter but haven't been able to locate one.
I replaced the stock auto switchover for dual LP tanks with a Camco switchover and regulator. Worked fine after that, stainless steel hoses also, been through many LP tanks since then. Stock was one of those that allows the tanks to leak while you're replacing tanks, not good.

Found more loose screws on the unit, the door strike plate and the interior of the door handle. Not a big deal, noticed something wasn't right, tightened up the screws. Purple Loctite (not heavy-duty) is on my list when I get home for the door and the drain valve screws.

Dometic fridge still won't work on LP, not sure what is the problem, don't want to mess with it in the boonies. Works fine on AC from the generator, wish it was 3-way, LP/DC/AC.

Ken,

What deep cycle battery are you using for the motor? Weight?

Thanks,
Dale
