Gary, that is very interesting. I take it that you have been to the factory. Fortunately we got a good one.

Ken, in fact, I was there this morning! They don't do public tours, but through some work connections, and being an engineer, I was able to contact the Director of Engineering and he arranged for me to do a factory visit. It was fascinating!

under belly repair

Thought I'd share this repair. A kayak paddle penetrated the corrugated underbelly between the axles. Mind you, this penetration was not easy and i don't expect any more random holes. The underbelly is pretty tough and much force was used to penetrate the area.

Originally the area was cleaned and Gorilla tape was applied to the 8 X 8 inch L shaped cut right after the accident in January.

I brought a roll of butyl rubber flashing tape from Home Depot as recommended by other rv owners. I windexed the area, cut and applied flashing tape. Then used a hair dryer on the high heat setting and worked the tape into the corrugated areas.

While underneath i noticed self tapping screws securing the front underbelly fabric. Why not secure them all the way across. Looks like they skipped one on each side.

The original Gorilla tape looked as good as gold, but since I'd bought the tape i went ahead and used it. I'm confident between the two tapes there will be no issues. Have a 4000 mile trip next month so well see.

Will call Ken. Can't figure out how to post pics 180 degrees upright. And.... fickle wecamp returned the $500 2k watt inverter generator to Costco and bought a Honda eu2200i inverter generator. Never opened the Costco item after searching for parts which i found none. there's a wealth of info and parts for the Honda. There were rave reviews for both generators.

Here is an excellent free photo editing app. It will allow you to rotate, resize, adjust lighting and a lot of other operations. I have been using it very often for several years.

Here is one of the best photo posting web sites out there. You simply select a photo that you want to post from your photo file. A text line will be generated. Copy the text line and paste it into the IRV2 post. That is all there is to it.

I'm sure you did the right thing getting the Honda generator. It will last you a long time and give you good service.

Just installed a LevelMate Pro in preparation for our first trip next weekend.

between the LevelMate and the new ramp style chocks I should be unhooked and level in record time.

Bross, those two items should have you fixed up. I just installed this Big Level on the front of our Minnie. Easy to see how level the trailer is with the drivers rear view mirror.

I assume that you have tandem axles. I don't remember what Minnie you have. Anyway, the wheels were too close to be able to put the leveler between the wheels. I had to grind the tip and the rear heel off of one of the Anderson Levelers. Here is a photo.

To make it really easy for Joyce to remove the leveler when leaving, I installed these pull cords.

Thanks for the heads up on the Anderson chocks, you were right, not enough clearance between the axles. Trimmed the nose off one chock so it will now fit between.

You are welcome. Better to learn it now than on your first camping trip.

Just finished giving Minnie a bath from top to bottom. Reminds me of photos I've seen in a circus giving a big gray elephant a bath.
