Winnebago Tour retractable step platform

I have a 2014 Winnebago Tour. The platform in front of the passenger seat that retracts stoped working. Has anyone else had this problem and how do i diagnose problem. When i activate the switch i hear what sound like a relay or solenoid clicking. Ive removed the small access panel cover on the face of the top step.

Is there a release strap or lever? Sounds like the screw could use a lube.

Is it air or electric?

If it's air, there's an air manifold under the hood somewhere with air tubes going to it and the manifold usually has little buttons on it that, if there is air pressure, when pushed, will operated the step cover.

mjeffrey is on the right track, no pun intended......ours came to a halt the same way. Sounds like it needs to be lubed with spray lube like WD 40 or the like. If you can "help" it by pulling on it while someone pushes the button, (don't pinch your fingers).....then you can see under the platform and lube everything you can get at.
It should free up with some working it. Things just get gummed up beyond what power the motor has to handle it.

Hope this helps, 'course I may be wrong but I think it just needs lubing like ours did.
