Great tip Jesse. Mine haven't done that sagging as of yet. But I'll know what to do if they do.

Hey check out my pressure washer/deionizer mod in "Winnebago Itasca mods fixes and tips".....let me know what ya think.

Best regards,
W.D.

Shower drain leak

I see the discussion on draining slow. Mine has a major leak...when I say major I mean water comes out all around the water bay, all around the bed but NOT out the gray water outlet (as in no water out the correct pipe at all). The lavatory sink and washer drain fine which make me conclude the leak is right under the shower itself...maybe the p-trap.

I am scheduled into Forest City next week and will find out but I thought informing others and seeing if it has happened before was useful.

Thanks Jesse. My ottomans sank right away, what a terrible design. Our upholstery in our Ellipse is poor, looks like a kid did most of it. I went to Lowes today, got the wood and did your ottoman fix. What a big difference. Now they are like they should have been from the factory.

No leak on mine, but the shower did start to drain slow. I removed the grill in bedroom next to the bed. Then I removed shower drain and cleaned all the junk out of it. It is not a p trap. Just a pipe with some sort of flapper valve to let water flow, but stop smell.

Maybe this has come up before, but this weekend I heard it for the first time. I was at a WIT rally and was talking to the Winnebago factory service rep for this area. We talked about my slide issue on my QD on the PS front slide. I have went thru 2 Schwintec and last summer Winnebago finally put on the new Power Gear system. He told me that it has been working great so far with only a few motors replaced and some roller issues. I explained to him I still have an issue with mine not always going in/out evenly, and that I do hold the switch down for about 10 seconds after it is all the way in or out. He told me I have to wait till I hear two clicks (one from each motor) before releasing the button. I have never heard this about the clicks. I have never heard the clicks on my at all, he says sometime they do take longer than other times. I talked to a few other QD owners there and they have not heard about waiting for the clicks. Have I missed this before.

Bob, yes that is correct about the clicks. That is exactly what the head Lippert/Powergear guy told me in person, and he demonstrated it as well. Mentioned earlier, I had my PS slide mechanism like yours upgraded.

You must listen carefully for the clicks, they aren't very loud. They sometimes click very close together and usually happen right after the hum tone you hear at the end of the slide travel in or out.

If you hold the full 10 seconds after end of slide travel, and hear nothing at the 10 second mark, the motors have most likely clicked.

Best regards,
W.D.

My drain was not working last summer. I looked in drain and found pieces of white plastic. What? Emailed Winne Service and found out drain flap had reversed. Had it replaced. Works now.

Jeese I'm not clear as to where the reel originally was. Did you just move it over or?

Regards,
W.D.

In the 2013 QD It was on the floor which allowed very limited storage. Click image for larger version

Hey man, I have learned a lot from you and many Thanks.

Nice to know that the bed room vent is an access to the shower drain.
