I don't know about all of you but this whole thing with antifreeze is starting to make me crazy. I have three cars and a tractor. I have four different jugs of antifreeze - 1 for each - all different colors. My cars are Toyota, Subaru and Mercedes...and a JD tractor. The JD uses the Prestone green stuff which you used to use in everything.

Have not had to add anything to the Winnebago. Lets see what color that is.

Thank y'all for this thread. I have read all 54 pages and book marked a few that I would like to try.

Keep 'em comin'.

May as well ask a question now.

Has anyone replaced the front grill led's with a different color.

I've replaced mine with the same white color ... a couple of recommendations:

- WBGO wants way too much money for these lights
- Look at Boogie Lights (boogielights.com)
-- Their quality far exceeds WBGO's source
-- Their 20" standard strip is available in different colors and is just shorter than the existing lights (and not noticeable once installed)
-- You can special order to length at a higher price
- Install and wiring is all 12V and very easy

Questions welcomed ...

Thank you Steve,
I have seen some trimmable and waterproof and I may go that way.
How does WBGO attach them - stick on?
Do you have the item number you ordered?
Thanks

WBGO attached the strips with double sided tape and some glue - they peeled right off. I ordered the stock 22" strip (~ price $24.99). Go to their website and choose the 'RV tab' and the lights show up a couple of times.

I trimmed the length down and sealed the ends, then used the included tape and super glue with good results. On one side WBGO threaded the wiring through the top of the panel - on the other the 'bottom.' I drilled a new hole through the top of the panel on the side previously threaded through the bottom for a smoother, watertight install. Make the wiring connections with whatever connectors you like to use. Test for polarity - I think I remember the yellow as being the hot side.

Slide Problem

I have the 2011 QD and have a question regarding the driver side slide..the big one. I have been having intermittent low power problems, but able to reset at the control panel to get the slide working again over the last year. However, it now seems the rear motor is no longer working. The on-call tech spent literally 4 hours on the phone with Winnebago, and finally concluded that the motor needed to be replaced. A wiring problem was kind of eliminated because he was jumper wiring it to the motor and it was still only working sometimes. When in manual mode where both in and out work their respective front and back motors to pull the slide in, Im getting nothing from the rear motor. So the question. Is there a sensor that could actually be the problem and not the motor? In general, what are the symptoms of the motor going bad? Any insights would be appreciated. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Just wondering, do you run the engine while operating the slides?

Always. It is very important to have good voltage while running the slides. I always wait till the motor is done with the grid heaters also. When you start your motor watch the voltage gauge when it is steady above 13 volts then operate the slides.

My manual states to have the motor running when operating the slides or the jacks.

When I start the motor and walk quickly back to the controls and press the in or out button on the big slide it will say, "Low Voltage," but if I just wait a little the computer will catch up and the slide will operate.
