Winnebago View Won't start

This is a follow on question to the battery drain post. Thanks for the replies.
The battery is now charged and am wondering if that is the problem(chassis manual say key won't turn with discharged battery).
When I attempted to start, I turned the key, icon appeared, waited, they went off, turned key to start, all sorts of icons lit up, blinked, beeped, etc. Turned key off, attempted to start, key won't turn?????? Have I got a computer problem? Battery disconnect is connected.
This is my first diesel, so am pretty lost.

My Father-In-Law's '08 Navion has a bad chassis battery. To get it to start I need to use the boost switch sometimes. You have push (and hold) the boost switch THEN turn the key. Have to hold it for a bit after it starts, until the alternator comes online. If the coach batteries aren't charged up, I have to jump it, there's a battery positive and ground lug under the hood on the driver's side.

(Sam's has a replacement Sprinter battery for $107 or something like that...need to get over there and buy one...)

It is possible that the battery is bad and only holding a surface charge and not enough to to start the diesel.....have the battery load tested...
