Winnebago vs Open Range tt

We have a 2002 Dutchman Sport tt and are ready to upgrade a little into something newer. Both the OR and Winnebago are top contenders and we are wondering if anyone can offer us some honest opinions about these two companies, their warranty, service, and tt's. thanks for your thoughts!

Welcome to the forum! I have not had a chance to inspect one of the new generation Winnebago tt's so can't say much there, but Winnebago is a very solid company that will be around long after many others are gone. We bought our coach new, and their quality, warranty, and customer service have been great. Anytime I had a concern that a dealer was not addressing well, or something I was dealing with myself, Winnebago has responded with excellent support to both phone calls and emails to the owner relations dept. They have more than met my expectations for support.

The Winnebago TT's are a recent addition.
Winnie bought Sunny Brook a couple years ago & modernized expanded them.
Winnebago has been around a long time, makes quality products, and has excellent factory support.

Pick the floorplan that works best for you. You should be happy with either brand.

Thank you

Thank you both for your thoughts. Trying to be as responsible as we can with such a frivolous purchase and am driving myself nuts with all the research!! Like Sunnybrook, but no dealers close to us. Won't this be a negative in regards to needed service?

Generally most all RV's will have a minor warranty item or two in the first year.
No matter how thorough your PDI is, something will be missed.
That said, as long as you can drive to the dealer in under an hour or two, thats generally close enough.
Since this is your first RV purchase, be sure to tour the repair facilities of the various dealers. You should be able to tell by the personel, equipment, & cleanliness if they will do a profesional job.
PS: read up on the pros/cons of extended warrenties - they WILL try to sell you one, be ready.
Good luck & have fun on your search!
