We had a little mishap on our way West (Indiana Dunes Campground was fixing their roads and we took out 2 posts on the temp road).
We called Winnabago Service on Monday morning and got an appointment for Thursday morning in Forest City. They handled the body repair very well that day, including some other 'body' things we had been putting off.
We did add the chassie AC since that didn't work on the way to Forest City, IA. They looked at that on Friday but had to order a compressor. That came in on Monday late morning, took our MH in and had it back to us at 3:30. The service guys were wonderful.
They work from 7 am to 3:30 pm.

Some service / visiting info for Forest City:
1. check into the visitors center on the hill and get your parking pass. You can park in that lot - E only along the back side. Gets muddy in the rain.
2. Service parking pass - park down next to the service dept. E-only. If you are there, you sometimes don't need to move your MH to the front at 7 am.
3. If they say 7 am, they mean it!
4. The service waiting room is nice - 2 TVs, coffee, restrooms, 3 phones (2 with SLOW phone modem) and the store so you can buy replacement parts. This closes at 3:30 or so. (Pets are welcome inside).
5. The surplus - not needed parts store is up the street. Good deals on some things.
6. Since we were there over the weekend, we went to Pilot Knob State Park (E only). Not all sites are level but the area was nice 4 miles from town.
7. We used the fairgrounds dump and water - no problem with everyone waiting for service using it.
8. You hear many stories about motorhomes and service in the waiting room. Someone else always is worse than your problem. Everyone talked to everyone else.
9. Factory tour -- you get to see 2 areas of the 'big building - Bertha' and the areas around the other buildings by bus. Was interesting to see the floor going on and vents and things put on. I would have liked to spend more time in the factory to see more but other people were ready to leave. They really do build motorhomes from the ground up!
10. Be sure you take everything with you that you need for the day when they take your motorhome for service. With cell phones, you don't have to sit there waiting but can go shopping or tour the area.

We had real similar experiences. We got to their customer check-in area about 6:30am - and were the "first" in line. Folks start waiting by the service door about a quarter to. At exactly 7am the doors open and there is a squad of service writers waiting for their customers. Those with appointments to the left, walk-in's to the right. The left line moved really fast - probably within 5 minutes I was out by the motorhome with my "personal service technician" (the guy who was going to do the work) reviewing what needed to be done. When we finished our walk-around, there was absolutely no doubt that he completely understood what I wanted. In addition, he pointed out things to check that I didn't think about. We agreed what he would do. He said he would call my cell phone when the work was done. My family did other things and at 2:30 my cell rang and he said the work was done. We went back to customer service and discovered that, even though we were out of warranty, everything on my list (except for the oil change and lube) was complimented. Wow, was I impressed. "My" technician then walked around the rig with me, showed me what he had done, and I was delighted with his work. I drove away from Winnebago with a happy smile and a few more dollars in my checking account than I'd expected.
