I have a 2008 Adventurer and had a lot of problems last year keeping the chassis battery charged over the winter. I went to start it on a monthly basis and it was always dead, the power boost switch didn't help either. Both the chassis and house battery switches were turned off in between starts. Needed to use a battery charger every month. This spring I had the battery and everything checked...no problem found.

Any tips on how to best maintain a charge while in storage this winter?

Not sure what your temperatures get down to, but if I were to go it again, I would pull the batteries and take them home and put and ensure they were charged when I wanted to either start the MH or just check things out, as I had two batteries freeze because they discharged.

I had the same problem with my 2003 Brave. It was stored on a lot without power. I don't remember having a switch to shut off the chassis battery, but I did shut off the coach battery.

My solution was the same as Ottawa. I removed both batteries and took them home. I could keep them charged with a charger.

Remember to check the water in the batteries to keep from boiling them dry.

Thanks, I found a battery maintainer that automatically charges the battery when it needs it. I'm going to try that and see how it works this winter.
