Yes, you need to pump the anti-freeze through the hot lines as well. Sometimes those manuals assume you'll know to do the same for both lines. And don't forget any sprayer nozzles, outside faucets, icemakers, dishwashers or washers...if you have them.
The reason for the anti-freeze step is to avoid any split lines due to water collecting in low points in the lines, freezing & then splitting the hose. Some people don't do this, but $10 worth of anti-freeze is cheap insurance against what could be a costly leak later.
