I'm very close to pulling the trigger on the 2005 Adventurer 38J with the W22 Chassis. Any ideas what the Allison 2100 trans will do for me that the 1000 wouldn't?

The Allison 2100 won't give you any more gears or any more power, but it's a tougher transmission and it's rated for a higher GCVW. That's one of the reasons why the W24 bumps up the 26K GCVW of the W22 quite significantly. The extra cargo capacity, extra towing capacity, and better brakes are the real bennies of going with the W24. Plus, from some of the posts I'm hearing, the W24 rides and handles significantly better than the W22.

The 38J ONLY comes on the W24 chassis. The W22 is not an option and is too small for a 38 foot gas coach, in my opinion.
