2008 Itasca Horizon. Basement air much quieter than previous coach with 2 rooftop unit. Winter in Florida in the sun. Basement air is shaded unlike rooftop units. Vote basement. If I had more basement storage I would haul more things I don't need.

Ditto with those "yes" posters. We are on our 3rd WGBO, the last two with basement air.

Wonder why they stopped using them. The Big Boys like Prevost use them. They are great! The wonderful people on this forum under this very question and topic that answered this question for me actually caused me to buy an RV with basement air. I love you all....Thanks

They stopped using them in 2010 when they had to find basement space for DEF for the epa2010 emissions equipment. The common failure item on the are the start and run capacitors and can be replaced for about $25 As a DIY job. The basement A.C. is extremely quit compared to roof unit and includes a heat pump.
