hello everyone, wondering if any of you live near bardstown, ky. I need to ask a question. I just had my tasca worked on and I am pretty sure the motor was taken out and replaced with another motor. I only had 52 miles on my motor. Is there any way posible to check and see if my motor was changed without my knowledge? I just bought this RV and needed a tune up, sending units replaced. That was it. Now I have wet oil on the bottom of the oil pan, 'looks like the rear seal leaking which mine didn't before it was worked on'. On my way home the transmission stopped pulling. I pulled off the road and check the fluid and there was nothing showing on the dip stick. It ran fine going there and had fluid in it, correct amount. When I bought the RV and got the motor home to my home and looked at the engine, it was dirty, oil film with dust on it, that was it. But now it looks like the intake is clean with just rust on it. Oh, I also had valve cover gasgets put in. No real leak but you could see the oil dust durty look when I first bought it. Now it just looks rusty looking, I don't remember that... If anyone knows how I can check this out I'd sure appreciate it deeply. If the motor has been changed without me being told or ask to do so, what should-could, can I do besides shoot the sob. I hope somebody can help. $600,00 it cost me for what they did! I'm a 100% service connected disabled vet. I sure enough am upset.
Thanks for your' time and help, I appreciate it very much.
Regards, gthsrark

Take it to a well known service center and they should be able to tell you if that is not the original motor. I cannot think why they would change your motor and transmission as that would definitely be more than 600.00. Changing a motor would leave markings around the engine area and the motor mount area. If they changed valve cover gaskets it is possible that oil drianed down the rear of the engine while they were performing that task. Good Luck
