Have You Registered For The 2016 GNR?

I registered for the 2016 GNR this morning. This will be our first GNR. Friends have told us that we need to go at least once.

Safe travels. JD

If you're not a member of a state group, ask for C-50 or E-50. Lots more room and you can park your toad alongside your coach. The state groups have to park their toads in a parking lot.

And by all means rent a golf cart.

Got our confirmation call from Forest City this afternoon. We're all set. Got a golf cart rented and a site where we can park our car right at our site.

Also confirmed that Monday is parking day and none of the activities began till Tuesday.

Anybody else coming??

A golf cart sounds like a good idea. This being our first time I don't know the layout. My wife has some mobility issues on uneven ground. perhaps a golf cart is in our future.

We will be meeting others and will be staying in the Washington state row.

Cool

I just ordered a custom Solei from Litchtsinn Motors in Forest City and the factory order was just placed 2/10/16. I will fly there and pick it up on July 18 the GNR opening day and will stay there all week before driving it back to California. I can't join the WIT Club or register GNR until I can get the VIN number which will be late April.

Looks like we will be attending this year also. Was there two years ago. We will be arriving on the early Pre Rally days. This year we will be probably staying in the Vendor row as we will be working the Rally. Waiting to find out for sure this week.

WIT has just released the daily schedule for GNR. I will be in the California Row with my Silver Pearl 2017 Solei 36G with Lichtsinn plates. Stop by if you want to see it.

We are in Waterloo, Iowa waiting for the GNR. On July 10th we move to Three Fingers RV park in Forest City, Iowa. Then on July 12th we will be an early arrival at the GNR.

Hopefully I will be able to get some repairs made.

We left Washington State heading south in March. We traveled through the southern states to Florida. We headed north through the Appalachian Mountains to Lake Erie. Then west to Iowa.

Along the way we discovered that the water line to the ice maker is not properly secured. We returned to the RV to find water pouring from inside. It took days to dry out.

Then at a rest stop just after traveling on a very rough freeway the valance/shade assembly fell off the wall and onto the table. We were just about to eat lunch.

I can see light around our entry door. Depending on how the coach levels itself the door can be difficult to open and close. I leveled from outside the coach with the door closed. It failed to level and the leveling system wanted me to to acknowledge at the control panel. Trouble is the the door was jammed and would not open. Fortunately I left the drivers window unlocked and I was able to reach the control and retract the jacks.

So I hope I can get Winnebago to make repairs. We didn't have problems like this on our previous Winnebago.

I just arrived at Winnebago a little bit ago for some service work. Just make sure you get your name on the list early in the service center. They do a great job of working with everyone. Right now over night service lot is full and the visitors center. Plus there was a few service customers on the rally grounds.

Thanks MajFrizz.

We drove from Waterloo today and checked in at the service desk to get our number for GNR service.

I was issued number 61. They will start servicing motor homes on Monday, July 11.

Winnebago service said to check their door each afternoon to check a list of RV'S that will be serviced the next day.

Safe travels.
