OK, I bought my Itasca at Lazy Days and got a complimentary WIT membership. I have been surfing the irv2 forum (love it) to include the WIT sub-forum. Not a lot of activity there. Got my WIT membership # plate and promptly put that on my RV (FL doesn't have a plate in the front so it seemed like a good location). My wife saw it and said, "so, what does that club do for us". I replied, "well obviously it gives us something for those two screws in the front bumper to hold" (she usually doesn't enjoy my wit, pun intended, as much as the dog does ) But I am not sure what else WIT does for me.

WIT has much to offer - it depends upon how much you want to participate. For example, local WIT Chapters that get together at least once a month, WIT Tours and State Club Rallies. The Florida rally in Orlando is scheduled for March 6-9. To get more info, send a note to winnie_gators.secy@yahoo.com. The state web site is: http://www.winniegators.org

You should be receiving a WIT Club News magazine in the mail.

WIT is an Owners Club. You get out of it what you put into it. If you like to camp and socialize with outher Winnebago industry owners, you will make a lot of friends and gain some insite on questions or problems you have from all these people. If you not a "joiner" you won't get much out of WIT, But I dare say thats the same with Good Sams and FMCA. In the begining, WIT was a reason for taking the coach out at least once a month and using it. Now, we look forward to camping with our chapter and attending the State and National rallys.

My advise would be to get out and try it for a year. If it's not you cup of tea, you haven't lost any money.

I agree with Ron...HI RON. We were members of WIT from the get go when we bought our first Winnebago, but didn't join a local chapter until coach #3. We thought we didn't want to be camping on someone elses schedule. But we attended a state rally out of curiosity and the rest is history. We have made friends we would have never met if it had not been for WIT. Like Ron said, try it for a few events and if you want to join the chapter then do so. It makes your camping experiences more fun and enjoyable when you do it with friends.

Bruce,

Now that you are a WIT member you will be getting a monthly issue of the WIT Club News.

In the meantime, look at the WIT web site.

Next Tuesday we are having a luncheon for all of us Keystone Winnies enjoying your Florida weather at the Golden Corral in Zephryhills. We'd love having you join us if you can.

You will nnote in the WIT magazine or the web site a listing of various benefits available to you as a member including insurance plans. A benefit that is not as readly obvious is that you can attend the Grand National Rally. Attendees are able to apply to take factory tours of various areas. these tours are much more informative than for the general public as you go right to the production floor.

The plate's benefit is that it identifies you to other members.

Don't forget the 10% discount on parts and labor at participating dealers and at the factory.
