Anyone who owns a Winnebago Industries motor home is eligible to join the Winnebago-Itasca Travelers Club (WIT). And plenty of them do, since the club boasts more than 19,000 members. WIT members receive special benefits, gather with other people with similar interests, and travel on a variety of special events called caravans and rallies.

More than 1,600 Winnebago Industries motor homes and their owners were on hand last year for the Grand National Rally of the Winnebago-Itasca Travelers...and their owners enjoyed seminars, entertainment, vendor displays and making new friends at the Winnebago-Itasca Grand National Rally.

Dateline, right now!

I can see the ocean from the co-pilot seat from our site here at Ocean Lakes. Great weather today however there may be a bit of a TSTM here tomorrow. We'll see, regardless we're here until Sunday for sure. We're right on Perwinkle Drive, you can't miss us!

The Eastern Regional WIT Directors Micky and Dick Dodge came by to say hi today. It was great meeting them here. We spoke about this forum and they said that they had recently seen it. I think that's swell. I hope more WIT groups feel comfortable using this resource to stay in touch on a 24/7 basis.

The Opening Ceremonies for the North Carolina Tarwheels rally is set for 9:00am tomorrow and that'll kick off the rally. This evening the group went to Crabby Mikes and then down the street to Legends. We would have gone but we've been there and done that a dozen times it seems.

One of the 2 Winnebago dealerships here, Tom Johnson's of Concord, NC brought a 2008 39W Winnebago Destination on a Freightliner for retail sale. Winnebago Industries are right on target in regard to their official release which was to be in April.

There's a couple more FLCC RDP coaches and an Adventurer on a V10 Ford. The other dealer, to be named later, brought a Workhorse Adventurer. There is also a View here just to cover the bases.

We'll keep reporting .... stay tuned!

Mike,

Thanks for your reporting on the current WIT events. We would love to be there but will be heading for "Deep In the Heart of Texas", San Antonio on Sunday 4/1.

Have a safe trip home from there.
