I just wanted to let you all know that I am located on site HH20 in support of the North Carolina TarWheels here at the wonderful Ocean Lakes Family Campground.
The last number that I have in regard to attendance is 101 rigs! That's excellent!
Today the sun is shining brightly over the campground under a totally clear sky. The temperature at the Myrtle Beach Airport was 48° as of this post.
Tomorrow promises much the same however the temperatures will be rising into the 70s. I expect that this will be a wonderful rally.
It is expected that both the Dodges and the Formaneks will be here in attendance.
It didn't take long at all but one lady came by in her vehicle and recognized me to be the Workhorse Ambassador, of course the BIG stickers on the side of the coach and the WCC flag flying on my stern sorta give my position away but she shared with me that she was concerned about her brakes.
I will be presenting a seminar here during the rally and I will be totally covering the Interim Notice, flushing hydraulic brake fluid, mountain driving and select shifting and or TGB operation. We will also cover combined weight ratings and the individual state requirements for auxiliary brakes. Regardless of the individual state requirements, Workhorse has always published that they require an owner to run an auxiliary brake when a towed weight is 1,000 or more pounds.
Stay tuned for more up to date information in regard to the NC State WIT rally!
For those folks wanting to check out our new Boardwalk. Make your way out to the 14th Avenue N Pier, find a parking space and you can walk South on the boardwalk for approximately 1/4 of a mile! The official opening is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend. There is a nice restaurant on the 14th Avenue Pier if you get hungry. I understand their hamburgers are excellent!
