We have never seen Yellowstone or the Tetons, and they have been on the top of our list of must see places.

Well, here we are in Jackson, WY with the WIT Heart of the Rockies caravan. Words cannot describe the magnificence of the Tetons as seen from Jackson Hole! Of course we have seen photos - but being here is all the more impressive.

We started out in Salt Lake City and next travel to Yellowstone Nat'l Park. Then up into Montana ending at Glacier Nat'l Park.

When The Heart of the Rockies tour ends we then travel to Drumheller, AB to start the Western Canada caravan.

The weather is fine, the scenery can't be beat. Life is good!

Frank,

That sounds great! I'm sure the Tetons are great but Glacier National Park is also going to be a totally new experience. When we were there the road was still closed and that was in June.

Lake McDonald is has to be the most pristine body of water I have ever seen.

Frank and Bette ...

Glad you are enjoying the Rockies ... I really enjoy looking at the Tetons ... especially across Jenny Lake ... and going to the sun highway and the hike to Hidden Lake is great ... especially when the weeping wall is doing it's thing ...

Keep us posted on your whereabouts ...

Your friends, Wayne and Jeanette

How can one use mere words to describe Glacier Nat'l Park? As said by many before us, the Going to the Sun road scenery is unbelievable. There still were many snow drifts in the area of Logan Pass and water was running from every concievable nook and cranny of the mountains.

Currently we are in dinosaur territory northeast of Calgary and will be in the Edmonton area on monday.

So many wondrous places to see.

N. Vancouver, BC

What a trip it has been!

The U.S. portion of the Rocky Mountains are beautiful but then, the Canadian Rockies in the Jasper/Banff area are another story. The way the highways wind through the valleys with mountains soaring upward on either side is spectacular. Viewing all the glaciers along the Icefields Parkway is fantastic. What an engineering feat are the railroad Spiral Tunnels west of Lake Louise on the way to Revelstoke and Kamloops, BC. Then there was the ride down the Fraser Canyon and now we are enjoying the cool weather of the Vancouver area. We will enjoy it before heading back to those parts of the US where the heat and humidity still rule!
