Slide problen, Itasca Navion 2013.....

Hi..
I'm a newby. Wondering if anyone else has had a problem with their drivers side slide or even the rear slide. I have a Itasca Navion 24G 2013 and the slide extended a few inches then stopped and I wouldn't retract. I unplugged the electrical connection at the controller and enlisted some burly men to help push the slide in then reconnected so it wouldn't run away.
Took it to the RV shop and they ran a electrical line from the battery to the controller and the slide worked, however they bypassed the battery kill switch so that wasn't going to work.
They (RV Techies) contacted Winnebago Ind and they sent out wiring diagrams but all the wiring is in the walls and virtually impossible to access. One tech pulled the fuse box located below the passengers seat and looked inside, touched a few wires then put it back together, went and tried the slide and it worked.....What the hell.
Has anyone had difficulties and what did you do to rectify the problem.
Would love to hear comments.
Thanks
Dave.......BC Canada

If you post this in the Winnebago owners forum you'll have a much greater response.
