05 dsdp compartment door

upon tighening some screws found this on one compartment door it was never welded right so the door just sits and rattlesClick image for larger version

My door latch had nuts & bolts for adjustments.
Can you bend bracket with out breaking the weld?
If it brakes off angle iron than use the Nuts & bolts.
May have to drill a slot hole on bracket for adjustment.

i sent this to newmar to show them its another one of their screw ups they didnt even have covers on my latchs so any time i went down the road items would shift and the doors were always coming open.
after 6 years wouldnt you think i could have some fun with this piece of crap guess not

With amount of items you have been having problems with maybe you need to make a list and send to them requesting of them if there is someway of having the items corrected " correctly " at a dealer they would recommend.

no you cannot bend the bracket without breaking the weld its just welded at the wrong place.
adjusting the nuts and bolts doesnt do anything at all.
