06 Essex Eplex Question

I replaced all my house batteries with 8 6v Life Line AGMs and 2 12v chassis batteries in Spring of this year.
I didn't realize that the eplex needed to be reprogrammed. Questions:
1. What settings are you using?
2. Lead acid or AGM setting? I've read different opinions on this.
3. What is happening when the the INV screen shows "Charger Sync"
Status: "Battery Saver"?

When I purchased my 06 Essex, the coach already had AGM batteries. Eplex was configured as Lead Acid (not agm). My research lead me to conclude that lead acid was appropriate.

I once saw the Charge Sync message. I cannot remember the specifics. I think the charger was not turned on.

I have since replaced my original inverter with a modern one. As such, eplex can no longer access or manage the charger/inverter

Charger Sync switches back and forth to Charger ON so I'm hoping the Bird or the transfer switch (not sure what does what) is going back and forth keeping both sides charged. I'm trying to figure this out before I put her away for the winter plugged only into 110A with me thousands of miles away until possibly Spring when we return for more MH fun. I pray that other Eplex owners will chime in on this. Thx for your help.

When hooked up to shore power the coach batteries are charged up first and when the BIRD determines that they are almost fully charged the BIRD activates a Solenoid which connects the Engine batteries to the Coach batteries. When this happens you would be able to measure around 13 volts on both banks. This is known as Float charging and this voltage will remain until you unplug the coach. Hope this helps!

Thx for your reply. Still wondering what is actually happening when "Charge Syn/Battery saver" message shows.

It just means your batteries are fully charged and the system is in a standby mode until the battery voltage drops.
