Has anyone found an easy fix to the CONSTANT running of the Pioneer in dash Nav system in the 06s? I called Newmar and was told this was a work -around because before, you had to turn on the ignition to listen to the radio and the buzzers, etc were too much,. Newmar assured me that their supplier told them that leaving it on constantly is not harmful to the unit's longevity..I don't fully believe that when the fan and whatever is constantly running.....

I have the same Pioneer unit and the same problem and the same official answer. The noise from the device was irritating. What I did was:
Look in the manuals and determine the position of the keep alive wire and the main power wire. I have a vacant switch position in my dash. I bought a toggle switch from my Newmar dealer, it even says radio! I pulled the radio and found the two above mentioned wires. I put the keep alive power wire on the chassis battery. I put the main power wire on the coach batteries. Now when I want the radio off, I just press the toggle switch. The install looks perfect, just like the factory meant it to be there.

Newmar's answer to this problem is very disappointing.
