06 mountain aire steps issue

I have the Chevy workhorse gas mountain aire 2006. SCS/Frigette steps. On the motorhome side of the electrical plug, I have lost power on the white wire from the step switch. I am guessing a blown fuse. Can anyone tell me the locations for the fuses on my home. I was on the phone with Newmar and they keep saying in the fuse box in the engine compartment. The manual says nothing about steps in the fuse box under the hood. No step fuse in the inside panel in the bath is labeled for steps. Under the cover on the dash there is one fuse labeled step alarm but I can not find any fuses to the steps. I removed the cover above the door that has the step switch in it and there is no in-line fuse there at the switch. Newmar said look where the 50 amp cord comes in I might find it there, but only 3 fuses on the power converter, nothing else I can find. Anyone have a Clue? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the form and irv2.
Below in my signature you will find links to many items for your Newmar.
Here is one for fusing that should help.
You will find step information in QT's # 3 link.

You may have a panel on your dash where some fuses maybe located also.
You trouble may not be a fuse but a wire connection from the door switch to the chassis frame for ground for door switch. The connection can become corroded and cause your problem.
You will have three ground wires for step a heavy green wire to chassis frame, a short wire from control to one of its mounting screw and the door switch wire to frame.
When ever your working on step keep your body out from under steps if you get caught.
Enjoy the forum and saft travels.

Do you have the pin out from Lippert? It's on their web site. Do any of the other wires have power?

Thanks so much for the fuse location sheets, I was able to replace a burnt fuse. Steps still would not work so ordered a new module thru wal mart, (cheepest) and that fixed it all. Now working. Thanks again.
