06 Newmar Essex -rear passenger slideout

I have a 06 Newmar Essex which is giving me ulcers.
my problem this time is the rear slideout. I push the switch to extend the slideout and nothing happens, I hear the motor but the slide-out does not move.
I checked under and the shaft is not turning. Looks like the motor is in a difficult position. I was hoping that there was a shear pin but I can't see the gears or motor.
Can the slideout be moved manually?
Would appreciate any help in the matter.

If it is like mine the motor/gearbox is connected to the rack and pinon through a trantorque (sp?) connector. If the gearbox shaft is turning but not the pinion, it is possible to tighten the connector. If not, the gearbox may be defective. There are other threads about this problem with more specific info. Query the Newmar forum.

Have a nice day - Darrel

This is the thread Darrel is talking about.
You would have to release the torque bushings to push in the slide with help.
