Just returned from a dealer, and got some limited information about the 09 Essex. One of the new items is; "pocket door operating system w/gas struts". Have any of you heard of this, or seen this? Is this the famous Prevost/Capt. Kirk door?

I hope it works better than the london aire air door which trapped me in the the bedroom at newmar international rally in essex junction,vt 2 years ago.I'm sure it's cool as long as it is reliable.

I also got trapped in the same unit at Essex Jct., however I was in the closet.
When I can't slide a door I'll give up.

I believe the pocket door operating system is new across the entire line, not just Essex.

I just spoke with Ken Williamson, about a fireplace, and he told me that the gas assist is to secure the door open and close (instead of a latch).
