I 'm scratching my head on this one. Anybody have the 12 Volts just drop out on shore power and come back on in about 10 secs? Mine's done it about 4 different times in about a year and a half.. If it would drop out and not come back on, I could probably trace it out. Got me puzzeled. Hot, cold, loaded, hardly any load. Makes no difference. Fraid it's going to catch me out. Just thought maybe someone else has had this problem.
110volts stays on, just 12V lites and controls.

Hi Perry White,
Yep, that has happened on my coach just one time. It was recent (within the last month). It did just what you said. The 12 VDC just went away. Just as I was going to get my meter, it all came back. It took about 30 seconds total. We were connected to shore power and running the usual lights.

Well, if I get it figured out ,I'll let you know. My wasn't as long as 30 seconds. If it would keep repeating it would be simple to find, but it does it once and maybe 2 or 3 months latter it does it again. Only once /trip.

The only thing I could think of would be a failing solenoid for the battery disconnect (store/use control).
Even if your inverter/converter failed, even if your shore power connection dropped, your 12v house batteries would continue to function (until they were drained).
Now if the disconnect solenoid was triggered, it would cut off 12v to the coach no matter what you were hooked up to.
If it was a fuse, it would fail and stay that way.
I don't think there are any 12v circuit breakers installed, at least not ones large enough to carry the entire coach load.

Here's the wiring diagram you need to trace.... Pretty sure the EX runs the Intellitec battery disconnect unit. CorporateM has the right approach...

There is a master 12v fuse mounted on your main battery tray, forward side. Unlikely, but maybe cinch up the nuts on it.

Thanks. It acts like a solenoid coil opening up somewhere. It's only off for maybe 10 no more than 20 seconds and it just does it once. Perry

I looked at the schematic. I think if it switched it would stay off. It goes off on its own and comes back on. I don't press the switch. I 'll get it fixed it it takes every dime I have. PS I've already got my nuts cinched up enough.

As CorpM said, if the solenoid is going bad it might be letting go for a few seconds and then re-energizing to turn it all back on... You can pick up those solenoids up for $20 or so online, might be worth a swap out...
Thanks to member Kraft Crew for pointing out the entire Stancor (White Rogers) solenoid collection is at Onlinecomponents.com | Franchised Distributor of Electronic Components for the cheap.
