'15 DSDP Fuel economy

DW keeps telling me to quit whining at the pump. Just curious about fuel economy on my 45o Cummings. What are others getting? What is the "Sweet Spot"?? MPH/RPM's. Thanks in advance. Steve

Quit whining LOL.
Seriously, assuming a 43 footer. 65 is a good spot but I do 70 to 75. Wind at my back 7mpg to 6.5.
Wind against me 5.5 to 6.5 depending on wind speed.
I'm usually at 75 because the cruise won't hold any higher.

Contrast: my '02 DSDP w ISC and Banks kit got 8 mpg towing an '05 Honda Odyssey. My present ISX 650 gets 7.6 mpg over 47,000 miles, still getting the same towing the CR-V.. I hold no more than 60 - 62 mph.

4 door wrangler ....average mph. Wind, no wind. Some say 60mph@1500rpm. Not retired for 8-10 more years so when we get in it we go. Just curious on the math at the 60mph spot.

Brand new 2017 4018 I got 7.2 from Nappanee to Maine without the Jeep. After hooking on the Jeep I got 6.5 for the next 9,000 miles.

On my first trip to take home our 2015 DS 4369, my rough estimate was 7 MPG. But I drove 70-75 mph most of the time.

I get about 6.5 mpg going uphill, 8 going downhill. Much better mpg when dropped out of the end of a C5 cargo jet. [emoji12]

15' DS 4369 - 30,000 miles. 60 to 65 mph, always between 7.0 and 7.5 mpg. I was hoping for around 8.

Also 15 DS 4369. 63-65 mostly. 7.0 - 7.6 give or take. My 41' 09 HR 400 ISL regularly got 8.25-9, but now I'm pushing a lot more weight. I figure the fuel penalty is worth the added upgrade into the DutchStar.
