17 DS Yellow Light on Toilet Flush Panel Coming on Too Soon

The yellow indicator light on the toilet flush panel is coming on too soon. It was working fine up until now. The holding tank is not even close to the level that should make that light come on. Any ideas?

I experienced the same issue on my west coast trip this year. The yellow light would come on after 3 or 4 flushes. I put Dawn down both toilets and used the tank flush to put water in the black tank. Drove between campgrounds and that seemed to help. Didn’t completely cure the problem as I would occasionally get the yellow light.

Called Newmar and they said it could be a loose wire and take it to service center. I have my yearly appointment scheduled in January with my dealer and will have them check for the loose wire.

Yellow Tank Light

I would pry open the cover to the box on the wall (the box with the flush button and lights). It comes off easily. You can disconnect and reconnect the data cable. That may reset it (don’t let the cable fall back into the wall). But, I found that there was moisture inside the box that caused my light to come on. I dried it with a hair dryer and the problem disappeared. Sounds strange but I struggled with the light problem for 2 years until Dometic said they thought it was a moisture problem.
