18 London Aire with 18 LED ceiling light burned out

Wanted to see if other Newmar owners are experience their LED lights are burning out. With maybe 60 days of use of the coach we have had 16 LED ceiling light stop working. Being here in Gillette at the Newmar rally and being still under warranty they replaced all those that were burned out and now one week later we have 2 more lights burned out. Will be contacting Newmar for our factory visit and will be asking them to replace all or ceiling LED lights. The lights have to be replaced as a unit which means cutting wires to put new lights in.

At least on my 18 DS there was no cutting of wires to replace the two lights that I have replaced, they are connected to continuous wires with Scotch lock connecters. I totally agree that there are way to many failures of These LED ceiling lights.
OBTW, Newmar confirmed that the 18’s have the “new” updated lights

I hope the 2019 have the “Super new improved lights” I thought LED were good for a looong time. Must be a design or setup problem....help Newmar. Spend a few dollars more for each bulb light....

I'm having the same luck with all my new "High-Tech" lights -- L.E.D. and florescent -- 12v and household 120v AC. They either work forever, or quit within hours, weeks, or a few months.

I think it's quality-control. Or more correctly, LACK of quality control.

18 London Aire with 18 LED ceiling light burned out

We had four replaced on our ‘18 MADP at the factory in April. Three more are scheduled to arrive in the mail today. I expect this issue to continue until all of them have been replaced.

Are the replacements any better than the originals?

The replacements are the exact same (SunLink Lighting Model No. RSFW3N-008). They haven’t burned out yet, but then I haven’t put much mileage on them yet.

No explanation provided by Newmar, but given the number of posts that I’ve read from owners of ‘18 Newmar DPs, I’m guessing that it’s either a bad batch, or possibly a bad product.

How many LED or regular lights have you replaced in 20 years in a S&B house?

I see the product code provided is $12 on Amazon!

The whole unit has to be replaced and disposed of!

I use my lights in the house every day for 20 years
I used my DS total of maybe 2 months (still working for a living)
LEDs are advertised as 30,000 hrs life. Right!

I could find the product on Amazon (or anywhere else besides Newmar). Can you post the link?

Here is the link to the light at Newmar.
