Hello All,

I am a new member to the forum and we are looking to purchase a used Dutch Star. Currently we are considering a 1997 Dutch Star model 3758. It is a 38' with a 300 Cummins,a Spartan chasis and Allison Transmission. I was wondering if anyone has had one or a similar 1997 model and would share their experiences and insight with me.

Thanks

DSBob, welcome to irv2 and the Newmar forum
Glad to have you aboard I'm not a DP man but we have many that are that will be helping you. It depends as with any other where the chassis has been in its travels and how well it was maintained.
The coach part will stand up to much wear over time and if need be can be brought to factory for upgrades for 15% discount during winter months.
You may need new seal for slide and sealent in seams to start. The model has stood the test of time with the floor plan its still around.
You may want to check out " bdk's" thread just below for starters.
I will let someone else to continue I don't want to be bias.
I'm sure you will get some good answers so hang in there just may need some people to come out of the woodwork.
Enjoy the forum and forums on irv2 and post often.
