1997 Dutchstar for 1st timer

I am going to look at a 37' 1997 Dutchstar DP and I would like some input please.I need all the help I can get.
The vehicle is on a Spartan chassis with 1 slide and has a Cummins 300 hp engine.
Includes:Spendide W/D,2 updated HDTVs,Corian counters,Blue Ox Tow Bar,3 Yr old Norcold refer.
The front tires are 2 yrs and the rear are 6 yrs old.
He was not sure about the batteries.
The owner says the dash air is not working and the steps are not retracting. He installed a new aluminum roof several years ago to solve a leak.
It has 110,000 miles and I am talking to the 2nd owner who has put all but 10,000 miles on it.It was serviced about a yr ago and he says he has complete service records.Sounds like it has been setting around for about a year. The sellor sounded elderly and they no longer have any need for the vehicle. He is asking $30,000.
Do you all have any opinions, suggestions, hints, etc.
Thanks--this forum has been wonderful and we hope to join you soon on the road.

Rear tires are borderline, but I'd be more concerned about the leak. Make sure it was properly repaired. Dash air (to me) is no big deal, I run with the generator and roof airs anyway. The steps could be anything from a switch to the motor or control board. You can replace the entire step assembly for around $450 brand new and solve all your problems. 110,000 miles on the Cummins is nothing, it's just now broken in.

Topdownman---Thanks for your input.I agree with all you said. I am going to go look at the coach and drive tommorrow with the wife.If we like it then my son who is a diesel mechanic has agreed to go back and go over the engine and chassis for me.He agreed with all you said also.
It sounds like it could be just what we wanted to start out with to see if we like the RV lifestlye.

I, personally, would not pay 30k for a 1997 with 100,000 miles. The mileage may not be a problem, but there a lot of pushers out there newer with less mileage. The AL roof is something strange to me. Newmar uses fiberglass or a type of rubber. I would think you could do better.
