Hi Folks,

I noticed the outside cover for the headlights is pretty yellowed, makes for not much light at night. Can hardly tell the difference between low and high beams. Would really like to replace with high intensity lights but would settle for new headlight fixtures.

Anyone been through this or know of a place to start looking.

Thanks for your help in advance.

I have repaired head light lens by first sanding with 400 grit then 800-1000 grit sand paper. Follow up with Meguiars Clear Plastic Polish
If they are not badly cracked it should solve your concern.

Newmar was using headlight assys from mid 90s Ford P.U.s on Dutch Stars around your vintage. There should be some I.D. on the light assy referring to the manuf. A Google of Dutch Star headlights showed the '99 used '95 F-150 lights.
Newmar customer service might not be able to tell you the manuf. but they will tell you if they are available or not.

Newmar, as did others, bought that they thought were good headlight assemblies but it was later found that there were not DOT approved even though the lights carried DOT approval numbers. Turns out they were counterfeit parts.
Replacing them with factory parts AND rewiring them with relays helps a bunch.
