1998 Dutch Star Inverter

How does one turn off the inverter in a 1998 Dutch Star pusher? Can anyone help me do this?

There were two optional inverters , back in the day .
My coach had only a 400 watt unit for the TV . was replaced by a previous owner.
The other option was a " Heart Interface " 2000 watt , I have the owners manual for my coach I'll have to flip through for the instructions .

Do you have the 2000 watt unit ?

EDIT: BTW, thanks for setting up your signature line.

Ok , the owners manual shows a control panel for the " Heart Interface " with an on off switch . BUT no location for the panel .
The 400 watt unit that was original to my coach had 12 volt power from the coach battery disconnect switch , so it would power down as soon at the disconnect was activated . The replacement unit a 600 watt , installed in the originals location , has an On/off switch on it .
It's in the compartment behind the passenger side dual wheels .
It's also a manual by pass, the power cord has to be moved from the inverter to the outlet in the back of the compartment.

Hello Skip! My Dutch Star has a 2000w Hart inverter, I believe. Think it's original equipment. I need to turn it off because it drains the house batteries flat with no shore power in 2-3 days even with nothing on.

Skip, it seems that our RVs are nearly the same. I'm on a Spartan, however, while you are on a Freightliner. Dunno why Newmar uses both chassis. I like Spartan's side radiator for easy (read easier) engine access. But posts I've read caution that the Spartan ball joints are problematic--not sure if that caution is for the newer units or all of them. Anyway, we have a lot in common so I hope that I can pick your brains sometimes. Send me a private message! I'll send you my email addy. Meanwhile, I have my rig at Bellringer's RV Service in Waco, TX for a long laundry list of things to fix and stuff to maintain, specifically an oil change. I'll send you a private message with more details. Meanwhile, I hope to figure out how to do a very simple thing that's not so simple: Turn the inverter off! Incidentally, what is the difference between an inverter and a converter?

This pdf document has a date of 99 so it should cover your inverter operation . drawing of the control panel is on one of the early pages.
